Update: LTE 4G feature expected soon

LTE 4G support is a coming feature, already possible with a 3rd party app available at openrepos but not yet fully functional with that. LTE 4G support is an expected feature in fully working Sailfish version. It's quite possible that we'll see this when Sailfish OS drops its current beta sign in the next update release in the beginning of March - The update is confirmed, however the features in it has are not. Update will be introduced during Mobile World Congress 2014 in Barcelona.

Notes

  • For final confirmation for LTE support in your area, please wait for official release from Jolla and contact your local operators
  • Jolla phone uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chip for connecting to mobile networks. The hardware support multiple other bandwidths too, but devices using different bands (to be used in other countries) are not yet manufactured. It's common in smartphone industry that only few bandwidths are taken to use due to the power consumption issues
  • Country list is based on wiki information for known LTE Networks using the bands 3,7 and 20 which Jolla phone's antenna supports. These bands are confirmed by Jolla
